A J Mount Joinery was established in 1988 by Alec Mount. Having spent many years working for other joinery companies, Alec knew he could do a much better job and offer a more personalised service by striking out on his own.

The business grew mainly by word of mouth from very satisfied customers, and even during the leanest years there was always work coming our way!

As A J Mount Joinery is an independant company, you won't find any catalogues or examples of our work in builders merchants or showrooms. All our projects are bespoke one-off designs - in other words, you tell us what you want, we design and manufacture it.

Of course there are some patterns, for example skirting boards and architrave, which are industry standard - such as Ovolo, Torus etc, which we can readily run-out in your chosen wood. But we also have the facility to produce any type and design of spindled moulding to match your existing patterns.
